William H. (Bill) Woodall, 92, of Bowling Green moved to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 18 at 10:48 AM.

The Logan County native was born April 17, 1927. He was a loving, generous husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather known as “Pa.”

Pa and his wife, Gladys (“Nanny”), were partners in business with their friends and relatives, Hershell and Leda Wilson. He worked for Wendy’s of Bowling Green and retired at the age of 88.

He loved his grandchildren so much and celebrated with them at many piano recitals, soccer games, track and cross country meets, and tennis matches.

He grew up working on his family farm and returned to his love of farming when he retired.

Bill was a Korean War veteran, and while he didn’t talk much about his service, he was very proud to have served his country.

He attended First Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years and loved his church family. He more recently attended Eastwood Baptist and loved the new friends he made there.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bill was the son of the late William Bradley Woodall and Susie Etta Chapman Woodall. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Gladys Wilson Woodall; three sisters, Erdine Woodall, Betty Bryan and Nina Sue Ashby; and two brothers, Logan Woodall and Leonard Woodall.

He is survived by his daughters, Connie Woodall Russell (Bryan) and Tammy Woodall Smith (David); six grandchildren, Kyle Russell (Carmen), Cody Russell (Kara), Chase Russell, Riley Smith, Alexandra Smith and Allison Smith; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Patrick and Brooks Russell, with another blessing on the way; one brother-in-law, Earl Bryan; two sisters-in-law, Leda Wilson and Faye Woodall; and several nieces and nephews.
