Willard Claude Gibson, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2019 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was the son of the late Leonard Claude & Ada Ruth (Kirgan) Gibson. Claude was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War who served with the Sea Bees He made his living as a homebuilder, general contractor, and realtor. He, along with his wife Sue, owned Gibson Realty and Construction Company and was awarded a 50-year certificate in honor of his service. He was also a member of Glendale Baptist Church.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his son Larry Willard Gibson, brother, Wayne Gibson, and sister, Judy Baker.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Glenda Sue (Moody) Gibson, children, Debra Gibson (Michael) Isaacs, and Alan Ray (Christina) Gibson. Claude was blessed with four grandchildren, Micheal, Nicholas, Pete, and Sam, and one great grandchild, Christopher James.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
