Stephan Anthony Murray resided in Loganville, GA with his parents Charles Elmer Murray and Sandra (Griffis) Murray. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his brother James Donald Murray (fiancé Jennifer) of Loganville, GA, his sister Tracy Patricia-Lee Murray of Indianapolis, IN, his aunt Betty Murray Mitchell of Muscle Shoals, AL, his uncle Lee Murray (Gail) of Cumming, GA, his uncle Estil Griffis (Violet) of Hardinsburg, IN, his uncle Donald Griffis of Bowling Green, KY, and cousins Kim Franks and Shannon (Ronnie) O’Neil of Russellville AL , Laurel Scruggs of Muscle Shoals, AL, LeeAnne Murray (Joe Rusnak) of Brentwood, TN, Susan Murray (Michael Temple) of Waxhaw, NC, Terry Griffis (Lea Anne) of Jeffersonville, IN, Bruce Griffis of Lexington, KY, Sean Griffis (Liudmyla) of Nashville, TN, and Lucas, Cole, and Paige Murray of St. Augustine, FL. Steve is also survived by a large number of extended family members.

Steve grew up in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and graduated from Floyd County Public Schools. He attended every athletic event in which his brother and sister competed, and was an avid fan of Alabama football along with his family. He strongly supported the military and first responders and all they stand for. Steve was named an honorary sheriff in Floyd County, Indiana. Steve loved animals and the gravitated to him. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family members for celebrations, holidays, and other family gatherings. Steve was a loving soul and when people became a friend of Steve’s, they were a friend for life.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Wednesday September 16, 2020 at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
A short service at interment will be a private farewell for the immediate family only. The family expresses appreciation, for all the family and friends who attended the visitation and funeral or otherwise expressed their condolences.
