Mildred "Mickey" Lawrence Poteet age 83 of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 5:02 pm at the Genesis Colonial Center. She was born in Bowling Green, to the late Harry Elvin and Lidda Bell Smith Lawrence, and is also preceded in death by her parents, Sisters, Flo Wilcox and Ruth Harrod, brother Fred Lawrence, and husband Edd Poteet She retired from Holey Carb/Colt Industries Production. She was a member of the Lost River Church of Christ. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her Daughter: Freda Dunn of Bowling Green. Sons, Ralph Poteet of Munfordville, KY and Bruce Poteet and his wife Catherine of Bowling Green. Grandchildren, Connie Bilbrey, (Danny), Rhonda Depkin (Derek), Bryan Poteet, Cole Dunn, William Poteet and Piper Poteet. great grandchildren, Cameron, Chelsea , Cady and Nicholas. Sisters, Estelle Mercer, Ina Christy, and Susie Burton all of Bowling Green. Brother Maxwell Briggs Lawrence (Faye) of Woodburn. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and after after 11:00 am Friday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral will be 2:30 pm Friday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow in the Bowling Green Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff "her extended family" at the Genesis Colonial Nursing Home for all their loving care. In Lieu of flowers a Nursing Scholarship Fund has been set up at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in Mickey's name.
