Obituary

Lovetta Sue ‘Susan’ Hudson Debalsi, 74, of Bowling Green, formerly of Frostproof, Florida, passed away March 13, 2019 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.

The Plano, Kentucky native was born May 7, 1944 to the late Guy and Dora (Hughes) Hudson. She was also preceded in death by husband of 14 years Ray Geitz and husband of 20 years Benedetto Debalsi; brother, Frank Hudson; and sister, Barbara Corbitt. She was a former employee of Holley Carburetor and co-owner of Mid South Lamp Company. Susan loved playing keyboard and organ, loved to travel, and was a member of 12th Street Church of Christ in Bowling Green. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as “Trailer Granny” by her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Robbie Gibbs (Micki) of Cross Plains, Tennessee and Jeffrey Hogan (Denise) of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Cory Gibbs (Amanda), Dwayne Gibbs (Kelsey), Blake Hogan, Chase Hogan, Madison Hogan; great-grandchildren, Skylar Gibbs, Logan Gibbs, Ezra Gibbs, and Wyatt Gibbs; brother, Donnie Hudson; and several cousins, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will take place at the Plano Baptist Church Cemetery.
