Loisdene Gentry Tygrett, 94, of Bowling Green passed away May 18, 2019 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

The Warren County native was born September 12, 1924 to the late Ed and Lura (Lane) Gentry. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harold T. Tygrett; daughter, Linda Kaye Tygrett; siblings, Pauline Pace, Guy Gentry, Murl Gentry, John Edward Gentry, Euell Barton Gentry, James Thomas Gentry; nephews, Julian Pace, Edward Gentry, Jim Gentry, and Tommy Gentry; and niece-in-law, Brenda Gentry. Loisdene was a member of the Park City Chapter No. 128 of the Order of the Eastern Star and Broadway United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class and the YES Club. She was a great recipe collector and loved to cook and was an active card player loving to play Rook.

Survivors include her nephews, Darrel Gentry (Elizabeth Ann) of Central City, Bill Gentry (Karen) of Lexington, Jerry Gentry (Vickie) of Henderson, Joe Gentry (Vivian) of Bowling Green, Gary Gentry (Debbie) of North Carolina; nieces, Gaye Gentry Easterling (Kevin) of Flatwoods, Kentucky and Mary Lynn Gentry Thomas (Durward) of Central City; sister-in-law, Shirley Martin of Hendersonville, Tennessee; nieces-in-law, Carolyn Gentry of Louisville and Iva Sue Gentry of Amarillo, Texas; special friends, Gail and Marian Taylor, Rita Crabtree, Sue Williams, Joyce Wilson, Shirley Phelps, JoAnn and Ron Clark, Herschel and Edith Lowe, and Bert Smith; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with visitation from 3 until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 until service time Tuesday. Burial will take place next to her husband and daughter at Fairview Cemetery. An Eastern Service will be at 7:00 pm Monday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
