Obituary

John A. Cook age 74 of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died Monday, December 31 at the Colonial Center. He was born in San Diego, California. He was born to the late Lloyd Arthur and Marqueita Stevenson Cook. Also preceded in death by his sister Julianne Elsie Cook.

He was a retired Police Officer from Bowling Green City Police Department. Member of The First Presbyterian Church. Served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Masonic Lodge # 73 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Rizpah Shrine, Society of Past Masters, Legion of Honor Shrine, Order of the Eastern Star Park City Chapter 128, Rainbow Grand Cross, Grand Order of the Hillbilly, Rizpah Road Runners, B.G. Shrine Club, F.O.P., American Legion, VFW, DAV, KY Col., Girl Scouts Camp Ranger, International Association of Court Officers, Charter Member of the B.G. Shrine Clown and was known as Hot Stuffy the Clown. Following his retirement he drove the children to the Shriner's Hospital and drove Veterans to the V.A. Hospitals.

He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Rounce (Fred) of Scottsville, Kimberly Cook Spencer (Pat) of Lexington, and Son John Arthur Cook II of Bowling Green.
His four grandchildren Cesarina, Jessica, Brittany and Grace.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel with the Celebration of Life starting at 7:00 pm. Masonic Service at 6:00 pm and F.O.P. Service will follow at 6:30 pm.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital in Lexington or the F.O.P. Lodge of Bowling Green.
