Jean Mayer Tucker, 87 of Bowling Green passed away peacefully Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Medical Center. Jean, native of West Virginia and the daughter of the late John Mayer and Ollie Skaggs Mayer Barry, grew up in Bowling Green and graduated from College High School. She married George Cooper Tucker of Lafayette, TN in 1948 and is survived by her children Linda Tucker Sanders (Jim) of Belmont, MA, and George C. Tucker, Jr. (Dmitri) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson Justin M. Sanders (Kyle) of New York, NY; grandson Robert M. Sanders (Lauren) of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren twins Sloane and Hall Sanders; and an extended and loving family of nieces and nephews and friends. Jean actively participated in the life of Disciples of Christ churches in Nashville, TN; Springfield, VA; and Bowling Green. She volunteered with Hospice driving patients for treatments and the AARP helping people file tax forms.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 5 at First Christian Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and the First Christian Church of Bowling Green Permanent Fund.
