Dorothy Marie (Smalling) Celsor, age 95, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017 at Central Baptist
Village in Norridge, Illinois. She was born on September 19, 1921, in Monroe County, Kentucky, to the late Edward H. Smalling and Lou Elka Bray Smalling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Celsor, sisters Dema Gass and Orbra Kurpewski, and brothers
Henry Smalling, Gerald Smalling and Zenas Smalling.
She is survived by her children Linda Gutfeld (Charles), George Celsor (Debra Abshier), Rae Celsor (Mark Orenstein), and Sheila Madsen (Gary), and grandchildren Max Gutfeld (Angelica), Julie Doran (Thomas), Molly Gutfeld and Guinevere Orenstein, great grandchildren OwenGutfeld and Maeve Doran, brothers Wendell, Murl and Victor Smalling and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a Rosie the riveter, assembling B-24 bombers in Detroit during WWII. She then became a beautician, and later a property owner and rehabber with her husband Dewey. She
was a skilled, self-taught and fearless renovator.
Dorothy lived in Chicago after her marriage to Dewey on Veteran's day in 1945. She was a long time member of Harrison Street Bible Church in Oak Park, IL.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 12 noon Friday at the JC Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. The funeral service will be 12 noon Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Woodburn Cemetery.
