Donna Lisa Phelps Cosby age 62 of Alvaton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 31 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Donna was a Pensacola native born on September 1, 1956 to the late Arthur Sr. and Josie Phelps. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur "Buddy" Phelps Jr. Graduate of Warren Central High School Class of 1974. She was a retired home care giver to more than 200 children over 38 years and a member of Friendship Community Church of Alvaton.

Donna is survived by her Loving and Devoted husband of 42 years, Ferrell Cosby, daughter, Jessica Freeman and husband Matt, sons, Michael Cosby and wife April all of Alvaton, Eric Cosby and Megan of Smiths Grove. Eight grandsons, Hunter, Mason, Carter, Gavin, Abe, Grant, Malachi and Calvin. Sister Denise Gunby and husband Tim, brother Randy Phelps and wife Becky. Sister-in-law, Sondra Kirby. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Best friend Debbie Tims.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8:00 pm Tuesday and from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Friendship Community Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery in Alvaton. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
