Obituary

Bertha Talley, 82, of Bowling Green entered into rest Friday, May 10, 2019 in Bowling Green. Bertha was born February 20, 1937 in Edmonson Co., KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Talley, parents W. Elbert and Mary Pearl Rhodes Miller, daughter Sheila Talley, 3 brothers James Miller, Bennie Miller and Kenneth Elmore and 4 sisters Zula Wilkerson, Norene May, Christine Sears and Willodean Johnson.

Bertha was a retired seamstress with Fruit of the Loom and member of Miller Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Edmonson Co.

Survivors include two sons Wayne Talley of Bowling Green and Dale Talley (Lori) of Greenbrier, TN and one daughter Pat Oller (David) of Bowling Green. Six precious grandchildren Wayne Talley, Jr. (Staci), Shannon Jolly (David), Lindsey Houchens (Chad), Jonathan Oller (Amber), Brittany Young (Tony) and Kaitlin Covington (Jackson). Fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandson on the way.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11:30 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Monday 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
